Fantasy Zone II DX Arcade cabinet

Fantasy Zone and Fantasy Zone II DX, side by side being played on Sega's Blast City cabinets.

As you can probably tell, Big Wings is building up to a Fantasy Zone II DX mega post, but in the interim I'll be posting tidbits of information related to what has to be one of the more interesting ports/remakes from Sega.

As part of the promotion for the games release on PS2, Sega/M2 issued a limited number of cabinets running on System 16 C hardware - this was basically Sega's System 16 hardware with expanded RAM.

I would love have seen these boards officially released and available, but I presume the scope for doqing something like this is probably too big a budget for something as niche as FZ. Still, the effort and dedictation here is admirable -  I'm still on the hunt for a set of the FZII DX instructions cards (pictured below), I haven't seen any in the wild and I'd imagine getting hold of them would be very difficult, given they were never officially distributed or sold.
